Victor Little League Baseball joined forces with area leagues to make a difference this weekend. Over 113 volunteers pitched in on behalf of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Drive throughout the day on Saturday, Nov. 26. Players of all ages rang bells and offered holiday greetings to shoppers at main entrances of Eastview Mall in Victor.

Little League players from Farmington, Bloomfield, Palmyra, Macedon, and Pittsford also joined in with Victor players, along with the Rochester Red Wings mascot, Spikes, and the Victor Blue Devil. Similar Little League efforts are also planned in  Greece and Henrietta in coming weeks.

Red Kettle funds raised are used to support 50,000 people each year in the Rochester area who rely on The Salvation Army for food, homeless shelters, Project ReDirect, Disaster Services, Emergency and Family Services, youth enrichment programs, and more.

The Red Kettle goal this year is $560,000 and the volunteer goal is 10,000 volunteers. Supporters can also make a $10 donation by texting ROCANGEL to 80888.
