  • Mary Ann Buneo stands in front of the 26-member ensemble she leads. She raises her hands and with a preparatory gesture to cue 52 eyes locked on her. In an instant she settles into a solid cadence and somehow, as if by magic, music happens. The vocalists in the Victor Community Chorus aren’t professionals, and they’ve had varying degrees of experience and training, but one thing they do have in common — they all love to sing.
The group performed on Wednesday, March 16, before an appreciative audience at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. Residents, staff, family and members were the grateful recipients of their musical offerings.
