  • The bulldozers have arrived. Site preparation has begun for Phase 1 of a new 58-acre subdivision on Route 444 in Victor, called Silverton Glenn.
“We’ve catered the entire community toward the empty-nester,” said Jeff Morrell, CEO of Morrell Builders. “We designed this to cater to a price point of anywhere between $225,000 and $350,00, so it’s right in the heart of the empty nester market.”
Silverton Glenn, formerly known as Wyndham Green, was first brought before the planning board in 2010.
“The neat thing is the site has tremendous environmental characteristics, so across 58 acres we’ve got woodlands, streams, meadows and open areas,” said Morrell.
Phase 1 of the 42-lot subdivision will start in mid-August with the construction of 13 single-story patio homes, 28 single-story town homes, and one lot to be established for the proposed development of two senior living residential facilities for St. John's Home.
Owned and operated by Rochester-based St. John’s Home, each Green Home cares for ten residents in a residential-style environment, allowing a more personal level of elder care.
Construction is scheduled to begin by Fall 2013, and should be move-in ready by Summer 2014.
“We’re in active construction right now and we’ll be delivering our first homes by the end of the year,” said Morrell. “The total project is only 117 units across four phases and we’ll be wrapping that up in our third year.”
Of those 117 units, 93 will be single-story town homes, and 24 will be single-story patio homes.
