I would personally like to thank Irondequoit councilman Paul Marasco for not biting on the carrot that was dangled in front of the Town Board by Mr. Nolan concerning the I-Square project.
Time and time again Mr. Nolan stressed this is something he is doing for fun and doesn't want or expect to abide by the process of due diligence. I have a suggestion for Mr. Nolan, go buy a Monopoly game if you are out for fun. When you are asking for my hard-earned tax dollars to help you to have fun, you do not get a card to pass to go. This is a business deal and only a business deal, not only for you but the entire town — and nothing less should be expected from Mr. Nolan nor threats made on his behalf.
I applaud the entire Town Board for standing their ground and watching out for the taxpayers.
