Large kudos to the Town Board for sticking to their guns about the PILOT for this (I-Square) project. As any business person should know, you should make back your investment in 15 years. If you don’t, you have a problem and somewhere along the line you did not do your homework, so why extend the time to 25 years? We all realize that something has to be done to bring in more revenue, but do not penalize the residents. We do not want to pay for his mistakes.
If I wanted to apply for a small business loan, even I know that I would have to present a solid business plan to be eligible. Mike Nolan has been in business long enough to know this.
We all appreciate that he is starting with his own money, but come on, don’t play us for fools.
