Let’s see if I’ve got this right. The group “Helping Irondequoit Plan for Progress” got a $1,000 grant to paint an electrical box at the corner of Titus and Cooper (Irondequoit Post, Sept. 20). That is $1,000 of taxpayer money to paint an electrical box that was originally painted for free by a local high school student.
Who in the world thinks it’s progress to squander $1,000 on something you can get for free? Good grief!
