Geneva woman charged with cocaine sales in ongoing investigation

A Geneva woman was charged Friday with selling cocaine in an arrest related to an ongoing investigation. Geneva Police reported the arrest of Markiesha M. Henley, 25, of North Street in the city. Henley was charged with first-degree, criminal sale of a controlled substance, a A-1 felony.

Police said Henley was arrested by Geneva City Police detectives on an Ontario County Court indictment warrant after a lengthy investigation by the police department’s Drug Enforcement Unit. She is being held for arraignment at Ontario County Court.

Henley had been selling cocaine throughout the city of Geneva and the top charge indicates sales of cocaine greater than 2 ounces, according to police.

Police said they have seized money and cocaine in this investigation. This latest arrest and investigation is directly related to the May, 30, 2017 arrest of Maurice O. “Flash” Maxon, 38, of Hoffman Avenue, and Aubrey “Boot” Reed, of North Genesee St. in the city.

Additional felony charges are pending and additional arrests forthcoming in this investigation.
