Victor Girl Scouts earn Gold awards

Elanor Nadorff and Abby Richards, of Victor, recently received the Gold Award from Girl Scouts of Western New York.

The Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. It is based on a service project that represents something the Scout is passionate about that also fulfills a need in her community. She will perform 80 hours of community service as she identifies an issue, investigates it to understand what can be done and leads a team to complete the project.

Nadorff’s project created a community bee garden while Richards’ project centered on childhood obesity.

Gold Award winners are eligible for scholarship opportunities.

Victor resident joins Financial partners of Upstate New York

Thomas Queri, of Victor, recently joined Financial Partners of Upstate New York as a managing sales director.

He will be responsible for helping current advisers grow their practices as well as growing the office by adding new advisers to the firm. He is a Society of Financial Services Professionals members along with other industry and philanthropic organizations.

Queri earned his business management degree at Niagara University.
