Victor resident honored at Clarkson University commencement
David Reh, of Victor, recently received an honorary Doctor of Science degree at Clarkson University’s 124th commencement.
The degree was awarded for Reh’s “commitment to technology innovation and entrepreneurship, the twin engines of progress and his dedication to shaping the next generation of business creators and industry leaders.”
Reh is the founder, past president and owner of Raytech Group Inc., which he formed in 1971. It consists of two principal operating companies: Gorbel Inc. and Retrotech Inc. Gorbel manufactures jib and work station cranes, and Retrotech specializes in the design, installation, modernization and support of automated material handling systems.
He is the current owner and managing partner of Ravenwood Golf Club.
Victor resident joines St. Ann’s Community
Michael Larche, of Victor, recently joined St. Ann’s Community in Rochester as chief technology officer.
Larche will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, coordination and management of information and technology systems for the senior housing and health services provider’s health care network.
He received his Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals Certification from Cornell University and is a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems through the HIMS Society.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science from SUNY Potsdam and a Master in Business Administration in management and organization from University of New Haven. He is pursuing his doctorate in executive leadership at St. John Fisher College.
Victor resident receives nursing award
Linda Thompson, of Victor, recently received Rochester Regional Health’s M. Jeanne VanNiel Clarke Excellence in Nursing Award.
Thompson was recognized by her colleagues for her professionalism, compassion, teaching skills and dedication to her work.
She has over 35 years of experience at Rochester General Hospital and currently works on surgical units 2000 and 2800.
