The Yates County Sheriff's Office says a 2-year-old was flown to the hospital after being pinched in a feed conveyor in the town of Barrington.

A 2-year-old pinched in a feed conveyor in the town of Barrington Saturday was listed in satisfactory condition Sunday at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says that a 2-year-old was flown to the hospital after being pinched in a feed conveyor in the Yates County town.

Deputies say this incident happened Saturday morning shortly before 9:20 a.m. at 2488 Welker Road. They say that Michael Sauder and his four-year-old brother Dylan were at a barn with their father, 28-year-old Amannon Sauder, when Michael reportedly managed to climb onto an operating feed conveyor.

According to deputies, Amannon rescued Michael after the child became pinched in the conveyor. First responders arrived and Michael was stabilized at the scene.

Deputies say that Michael was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital via helicopter to get treated for a head injury.
