Gwendolyn Healy, of Springwater, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at SUNY Oswego. To be eligible, juniors must be in the top 7.5 percent of their class; seniors and graduate students in the top 10 percent. Healy studies human development.

Alexis Darbyshire and Taylor Olmstead, of Palmyra; and Alyson Hallett, Martha McGrath and Allyson Zeron, of Victor, were initiated recently into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Nazareth College. To be eligible, juniors must be in the top 7.5 percent of their class; seniors and graduate students in the top 10 percent.

Finger Lakes Community College students Lester Mayers, of Brooklyn; Karen Luong, of Rushville; and Felicia Showers, of Waterloo, recently received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Albany. Mayers is a liberal arts student with a concentration in theater, Luong studies horticulture and Showers is an environmental studies major. After graduating in May, Mayers will attend SUNY New Paltz, Luong will transfer to Cornell University and Showers will attend SUNY Brockport.
