The 13th annual Victor Business Awards are set for May 4.

VICTOR — Local superstar business leaders will be honored at the 13th annual Victor Business Awards, hosted by the Victor Local Development Corporation on Thursday, May 4.

Greater Rochester Chamber President Robert Duffy is the keynote speaker at the 11:30 a.m. event at Cobblestone Creek Country Club. Emcee for the program is David Mammano of Next Step U.

Also on hand to honor top business leaders will be Victor Supervisor Jack Marren, Ontario County Administrator Mary Krause, Assemblyman Brian Kolb, state Sen. Rich Funke, Victor Mayor Gary Hadden, and Ontario County Economic Developer Mike Manikowski.

“The 2017 award recipients are all outstanding and very deserving of the recognition,” said Victor Director of Economic Development Kathy Rayburn. “I'm looking forward to celebrating their accomplishments."

A nominating committee reviewed and selected this year’s candidates, said Rayburn.

O’Connell Electric Co. was named Business of the Year, and Sweet Times Bakery was named Family Owned Business of the Year. U.M.A.C. (United Martial Arts Center) was named Health Service Provider of the Year, and Woodstone Custom Homes Inc. is Developer of the Year.

Financial Services Champion of the Year is John Ryan of JTR & Associates of the Finger Lakes. Woman Business Owner of the Year is Rebecca Melton of Indoor Air Technologies Inc.

Teknic Inc. was named Technology Business of the Year, and Motovate Performance was named Emerging Retailer of the Year.

Business Exporter of the Year is LSI Solutions, and Home-Based Business of the Year is American Sports Media with David Aultman and David Jones. Business Journalist of the Year is Missy Rosenberry.

Retail Marketing Champion of the Year is Kettle Ridge Farm, and Youth Entrepreneur of the Year is Brandon Bodine of Bodine Enterprise.

Retail Merchant Retailer of the Year is Rite of Passage Tattoo Inc., Restaurant Retailer of the Year is Six-50-Black Oven Cooking, Service Provider Retailer of the Year is Mike Moreland of Mike Moreland’s Lawn & Landscaping Inc., and Eastview Mall Retailer of the Year is American Eagle.
