Picture and chapter books are especially needed.

The nonprofit Community Reading Partnership is seeking books in good condition in order to make them available on more than 15 Little Red Bookshelves in Canandaigua, Hopewell and Clifton Springs.

The books on all of the bookshelves are free for the taking, but lately the supply of picture books has been running low.

The partnership also needs more chapter books for elementary school-aged children.

To drop off book donations, take them to the bright red book boxes inside the Canandaigua Primary or Elementary School entrances off the parking lot on West Gibson Street during regular school hours, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Books should be delivered in a bag labeled “CRP” or “Little Red Bookshelf.” Books can also be dropped into CRP’s red book box in the library at the middle school in Canandaigua.
