Longshots Bar and Restaurant, 6108 Loomis Road, Farmington, is hosting McGhan’s Nearly Famous Irish Pub’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend party through March 18.
The last party at McGhans was held in 2012 before owner Clem McGhan retired and sold the business.
“I remember attending the St. Patrick’s Day parties at McGhans, and they were always such a great gathering of people in our community,” said John Barry, owner of The Finger Lakes Hotel and Longshots. “Many of our regulars were recently reminiscing about Paddy’s Day weekend and we knew what we needed to do. We reached out to Clem, who loved the idea of bringing back McGahn’s party to Longshots.”
Longshots will open at 9 a.m. March 17-18 for Kegs and Eggs. Throughout the weekend, the outdoor stage will feature live music and DJs will offer music and karaoke inside. McGhan will serve as master of ceremonies.
“It’s all about community,” said Joseph Prestigiacomo, owner of Longshots and The Finger Lakes Hotel. “We are just hoping to bring people back together, recreating those nostalgic experiences and creating new memories.”
