Constellation Brands Inc., an alcohol company based in Victor, recently announced an expansion of its parental leave benefits for eligible employees.
New birth mothers now qualify for 16 weeks of paid leave and any employee, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, now can take up to eight weeks of paid leave when they welcome a new baby or child to their family, including through adoption or foster placement.
“The expanded parental leave policy helps us attract and retain stellar talent across the organization and build an inclusive environment that supports both working moms and dads by removing gender from the equation,” said Tom Kane, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “We’re confident that these enhanced benefits will allow the time needed to bond with their children so that new moms and dads will be more productive and successful when they return to work. The expansion of our parental leave benefits make us a stronger company with a talented and dynamic workforce.”
