The powerful words of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech rang true again during Monday’s 18th-annual Canandaigua Community Celebration in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The event at First Congregational Church of Canandaigua, United Church of Christ included a dramatic presentation by Canandaigua Academy students and songs by the Canandaigua Primary/Elementary choral group.
Mayor Ellen Polimeni as mistress of ceremonies introduced speaker Connie Fredericks-Malone and prayers and songs celebrated a message of courage, peace and equality.
