Victor resident elected state GOP vice chairwoman
Trisha Turner, of Victor, was recently elected regional vice chairwoman of the New York State Republican Committee.

Turner was unanimously elected to represent the Finger Lakes region that includes Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties.

She currently serves on the Victor school board and the board of directors for Serenity House, a nonprofit that provides care for the terminally ill. She started her career as a special education teacher after graduating from King’s College and Southern Connecticut State University. Turner helped found Victor Community Church, where she continues to be an active and engaged member.

“As regional vice chairwoman, I will be working with Republican leaders and elected officials to grow our local town and city committees and ensure that we recruit the best possible candidates to run for public office,” Turner said. “Serving as chairwoman will provide me another opportunity to serve the region that I am proud to call home, and I look forward to working with our county committees to elect strong Republican candidates who will put local taxpayers first.”
