Adam S. Sullivan, 29, was charged with first-degree attempted criminal sexual act, a class C felony, attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, a class D felony, and first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, a class E felony, according to state troopers.

A Palmyra man is facing several felony child sex charges after he was arrested Friday in Farmington.

Adam S. Sullivan, 29, was charged with first-degree attempted criminal sexual act, a class C felony, attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, a class D felony, and first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, a class E felony, according to state troopers.

Sullivan allegedly tried to engage a 12-year-old girl in sexual contact, but he was taken into custody before he had contact, troopers said.

Sullivan was arraigned in Farmington Town Court and taken to Ontario County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
