Soon, families enjoying a few rounds of miniature golf and snacks at the former Carmen’s Ice Cream stand in Farmington will also be treated to a live concert as they play.

In addition to mini-golf and a snack bar — already open for business and under new management — a new eatery called Prosecco Italian Restaurant and Jazz Bar is slated to open in late July at the State Route 332 location.

The restaurant will feature casual dining and live music six or seven nights a week. Outdoor speakers will pipe the live blues, soul, swing and jazz band music outside for golfers and snack bar patrons to enjoy as well.

A brainchild of brothers Fausto and Massimo Albano, the business will be fashioned after their other restaurant, Lemoncello Cafe and Lounge on West Commercial Street in East Rochester.

“We’re remodeling right now,” said Massimo Albano. “Prosecco will have a bigger bar and an open kitchen, so it will be a nice visual for anybody there.”

The casual dining restaurant will showcase eclectic tile and stone work, and will seat about 100 diners.

“We’re bringing in two Italian chefs who will come up with a whole new menu of northern and southern Italian cuisine,” said Albano.

The two have leased the building and miniature golf course and will operate the snack shop, restaurant and mini-golf business. They’re planning on booking local talent from Rochester, Victor and surrounding communities.

For more information, call Lemoncello at (585) 385-8565.
