A Canandaigua teen was charged Sept. 11 after he allegedly threw a knife at an acquaintance during an argument at Commons Park, on Main Street, said Canandaigua city police.
Isac G. Villafane, 17, of 275 Jefferson Avenue, was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class D felonies, police said. The person who Villafane allegedly threw a knife at, sustained a laceration to the left leg, police said. He was treated and released from F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
Villafane was also charged by city police in April after allegedly swinging a skateboard and punching a victim in the face.
He was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and released on his own recognizance.
