A Canandaigua woman was charged Sept. 21, at 9:25 p.m., after allegedly operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs with a three-year-old child in the vehicle, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
Diana J. Huizinga, 45, of 3487 Route 247, was charged with driving while intoxicated under both common law and Leandra’s Law, and driving while under the influence of drugs, police said.
According to deputies, Huizinga was stopped on Route 247 in Gorham, due to a flat tire. Deputies assisted with the flat tire, and then discovered she allegedly had been operated the vehicle under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She also allegedly was in possession of cocaine.
She will appear in the Gorham Town Court at a later date.
