A Rochester woman was charged Oct. 4 after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Macy’s at Eastview Mall, in Victor, and then allegedly striking a loss prevention officer, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.

Kellie E. Kuilman, 21, of 169 Merwin Ave., was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and petit larceny, police said. According to deputies, Kuilman allegedly stole $264 worth of merchandise, and $134 was damaged by improper sensor removal. Police added that the arrest was part of a shoplifting investigation that stemmed from a complaint at Macy’s on Oct. 1.

Kuilman will appear in the Victor Town Court at a later date.
