About 1,500 Farmington residents had little water pressure or were without water Tuesday morning because of a problem during routine repairs to the water system.
Outside contractors working with town Water and Sewer Department employees encountered a problem with water pressure values while working near the corner of Canandaigua-Farmington Townline Road and Route 332 late this morning, said Water and Sewer Superintendent James Crane.
Crane said water service was affected for residents in the Route 332 area. It was restored by about noon, though some continued to have low pressure while repairs continued in the afternoon.
