Cody Jones of Canandaigua has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Monroe Community College in Rochester. He is majoring in engineering.
The following local students attending Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chili have been named to the dean's list for receiving higher honors with a GPA of 3.7 to 3.9: Mark Slomski of Farmington and Melissa Thompson of Canandaigua. Receiving the highest honors for achieving a GPA of 3.9 to 4.0 are: Sean Cone of Victor, Jacqueline Corbett of Farmington, and Elisabeth Tomlinson of Bloomfield.
Megan Pratt of Bloomfield has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Monroe Community College in Rochester. She is majoring in dental assisting.
The SUNY College at Oswego has awarded merit scholarships, including $17,600 Presidential Scholarships, to the following incoming students: Daegan Keyes of Bloomfield and Courtney Scialdone of Farmington. Classes begin Aug. 27.
Kristen Drayn of Canandaigua, who is transferring to the SUNY College at Oswego, has been awarded a $1,000 Merit Award. Classes begin Aug. 27.

Cody Webb of Bloomfield, a 2012 graduate of Canandaigua Academy, has received a $2,000 scholarship from the Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA), the national trade association representing the financial service industry. Webb will attend Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall.
Rachel Rhodes of Bloomfield, daughter of Kathleen and Theodore Rhodes, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 term at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y.
Jamie R. Miller of Canandaigua graduated cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva on May 17, and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. Miller, the child of Donna Altmire and Steven Miller, also studied in Wales.
Christine Rhoads, daughter of Chuck and Diana Rhoads of Canandaigua, was designated a Helen Heath Scholar at William Smith College in Geneva, for earning a grade-point average of 3.0 to 3.499. She is a first-year student at William Smith.
Chelsea DeGroote, daughter of Alan and Terri DeGroote of Canandaigua, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Keuka College in Keuka Park, N.Y. She is a junior triple major in English/Adolescent English, Education/Special Education with a minor in communications. She earned a 3.8 grade-point average.
Katherine Nakoski has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. A Bloomfield High School graduate, she is the daughter of Joseph and Pamela Nakoski of Bloomfield.
As a freshman at Roberts Wesleyan College, Jackie Corbett of Farmington was named to the 2011 American Mideast Conference First Team in soccer. A midfielder, she was the only freshman to make the First Team in 2011. She is also a member of the basketball program at Roberts. In addition, she was named to the dean’s list with highest honors for the spring 2012 semester.
The College of Saint Rose in Albany announced that the following Victor residents were named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester: Marilyn Glamack, Megan Krenzer and Ashley Rath.
Carolyn E. Gelinas, daughter of Jeff and Judy Gelinas of Canandaigua, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. A member of the class of 2013, she is majoring in business management with a concentration in human resources.
