A Bloomfield man was charged Aug. 22 with third-degree grand larceny, said Canandaigua city police.
According to police, Guarld Cline, 60, of 7588 Routes 5 and 20, allegedly accepted a check for $12,000 in October 2011 for the purpose of completing work for a business in Canandaigua. The work was never performed and the money is accounted for, police said.
He was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
