Police: Geneva man broke into Casa Italiana

A Geneva man was charged Aug. 22 after allegedly breaking into Casa Italiana, on Parrish Street, said Canandaigua city police.

According to police, Richard R. Liberio, 20, of 10 Clinton St., was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief. He allegedly broke into the Canandaigua deli in March and damaged $3,000 worth of property, including the back door, police said. He also allegedly stole a computer valued at approximately $2,000, police said.

He was arraigned in the Canandaigua City Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.
