Lawmakers on Capitol Hill have proposed cutting certain brewing taxes in half.
Any place that sells fewer than 60,000 barrels of beer a year would be eligible for the tax break.
The senator who created the bill said breweries will save money, which will make it more affordable for beer drinkers and places that sell craft beer.
That would benefit a lot of small breweries in the greater Rochester area.
