Fishers Fire Department will host its fifth annual Comedy Night Saturday, October 6, at the Main Street Fishers fire hall.
The event begins with a pasta dinner, silent auction and cash bar at 7 p.m., with performances by comics Sherry Davey and Buddy Fitzpatrick beginning at 8 p.m.
Sherry Davey was recently named one of the “Top 10 comedians in NYC” by Improper Magazine, and has been honored as one of the Hollywood Reporter’s “Magificent Seven.” Television appearances include Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” “Premium Blend,” Fox News Channel’s “The Full Nelson” and Nick At Nite’s “Search for America’s Funniest Mom II.” Sherry also has her own fashion/comedy webseries on Comedy Central’s Motherload entitled “Sidewalk Catwalk.”
Buddy Fitzpatrick combines the skill of a great monologist with a physical style that brings his observations to life. His act is made up of inventive material, delivered in a self-assured style. Buddy is a regular on Comedy Central and has made appearances on A&E’s “An Evening At The Improv” and “Carolines Comedy Hour.” Buddy also appeared in the Damon Wayans film “Harlem Aria” and “The Business of Strangers” starring Julia Stiles and Stockard Channing, as well as HBO’s “The Sopranos.”
Tickets can be purchased for $25 from any firefighter or at either fire station (Main Street Fishers or High Street, Victor). Firefighters stress that this night of comedy is a community event. It is a social evening that everyone will enjoy. All are invited regardless of whether they live in the Fishers Fire District or not.
