Three event highlights

1 - Fire trucks will be on display so children of all ages can climb aboard. An extrication demonstration will be presented using the jaws of life, and a New York State Police rollover simulator will be on the scene. A Mercy Flight Landing is also scheduled for noon, depending on availability.

2 - Ontario County Sheriff’s Department Operation Safe Child will offer fingerprinting and photo IDs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Victor Farmington Ambulance Corps will conduct blood pressure screenings as well.

3 - On Sunday, Oct. 14, from noon to dusk, firefighters will travel to various Farmington neighborhoods to explain and demonstrate EDITH — Exit Drill In The Home.

Safety is for everyone. To learn how to safeguard your family, visit Farmington Fire Station #2, at the corner of Hook Road and Route 96, across from Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack. Free pens, stickers, treats and activities will be available for the children, along with a bounce house. Free doughnuts, cider, hot dogs, soft drinks and popcorn will be served.
