Victor public relations firm Dixon Schwabl will participate in “The Stand Against MS,” a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upstate New York Chapter. The month-long campaign — which involves running an old-fashioned lemonade stand — will raise money to support programs, services and research that will serve more than 12,400 people with MS and their families in upstate New York during the month of August. This fundraiser will help raise money to find a cure while teaching children the value of giving.

Dixon Schwabl will have an agency lemonade stand set up for employees once a week, kicking off on August 1 and ending on August 29. Approximately 20 children of Dixon Schwabl employees will volunteer at the internal lemonade stand, selling lemonade and baked goods and helping to collect donations, all while learning the importance of giving. Each child will be wearing matching T-shirts, specially designed for this fundraiser, as well.

“With this exciting fundraiser, we hope to not only raise awareness and generate funds for the National MS Society, but also encourage other businesses to get involved and create a lemonade stand of their own to raise money for MS,” said Lauren Dixon, CEO of Dixon Schwabl.

Dixon Schwabl will also create a virtual lemonade stand that launched on Aug. 1 at dixonschwabl.com/giving. The “online lemonade stand” will be a fun way for the public to learn more about the fundraiser and submit a donation online.

Upon completion of “The Stand Against MS” fundraiser, the agency will coordinate a check presentation for the National MS Society Upstate New York Chapter.
