The parade was loud and proud at Victor Junior High School last Friday night. A seemingly endless array of students grade 6 and younger, costumed in their splashiest Halloween finery and grinning from ear to ear, marched past bleachers filled with cheering parents and grandparents. Cameras flashed, video cameras rolled, and cherished moments were captured to remember for years to come.

For over 60 years the Victor Lions Club has hosted an annual Halloween parade for young Victor students. And this year participants marched to the beat of not one, but two Junior High School concert bands. Students were awarded prizes for the prettiest, most original, scariest and funniest costumes in multiple age categories. Following the judging, cider and donuts were served (of course). For the Lions Club, this free event was their chance to “give back to the community.”
