The iPhone 5 went on sale Friday at 12:01 a.m. PDT, and the smartphones were sold out within an hour. So many people were trying to buy the new iPhone that servers kept giving “busy” messages. Those who were lucky to get one of the preorders will have their phones shipped in two weeks.

Students on a field trip in Australia saw a stranded koala in a mine shaft, so they put a tree trunk down the hole to let it climb out. The cute koala fell once, but it’s OK!
