Vidhya Shankar Govindarajan of Moser Baer Technologies, left, offered Andres Salazar of Victor High School an opportunity to try on a cleanroom suit during “Finger Lakes Works — With Their Hands,” a career fair featuring many technical and hands-on jobs, on Oct. 6 in Seneca Falls.

Moser Baer and Finger Lakes Community College will launch a training program in January to prepare students for entry-level cleanroom jobs. The company plans to open a manufacturing facility in Canandaigua and anticipates job openings in 2012. The two-week program will be held at the FLCC Victor Campus Center, 200 Victor Heights Parkway, off Route 251.

Entry into the program requires completion of one of the orientation sessions, scheduled for Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1 and 8, at 9 a.m. at the FLCC Professional Development and Continuing Education, Room B128, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive in Canandaigua.

Space in the class is limited. To register for orientation, contact Colleen Aiezza at FLCC at (585) 785-1906 or aiezzaca@flcc.edu
