Kaitlyn VanOrman is 14 years old and a Freshman at Victor Senior High. She lives with her parents, Keith and Cathy,  an older brother named Cody, 20, a little brother named Kyle, 13, and a little sister named Kelsey, 6.

What activity or project have you tackled that has been the most challenging and rewarding? I helped run the children’s crafts at Maggie's Kids Camp for almost a hundred kids, to earn my Girl Scout Silver award. I've also been involved in Summer Stars this summer (a Broadway camp) and busy babysitting.

How did you get involved with that project? Through my girl scout troop, we always want to help out our community. It was also a prefect way to work on our Silver award.

What makes it rewarding? What made it so rewarding was putting smiles on the kids faces. I got everything out of it, a new experience and making other kids day fun!

Who has most inspired you to be the person you are today? My family is always inspiring me to be the best I can be.

How do you balance all your time commitments? Help from my family and friends, and planning ahead helps.

What do you could choose any career in the world, what would you be? I really want to go in to the Marines, so probably a Marine Officer.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Somewhere unexpected.
What's on your iPod? Everything from country to hip hop and pop.

What do you do for fun? I work, babysitting many families but mostly the Corwin's three youngest kids. I love to swim, sing, perform and be with people.

What’s your favorite food? French fries

What's your best advice for other students your age?  Don't be afraid to be yourself, and don't let anyone tell you can or can't do something.
